Airbus Finkenwerder

On the 20th of February we went on a field trip to Airbus on(!) Finkenwerder.

After a brief introduction about the history of Airbus, we were led across the Airbus facilities by our guide who had been with Airbus for many decades. We got to see the assembly line: starting with just the fuselage in the beginning to something that looks almost like a finished plane. Here we even got to see the workers in action as they assembled the plane part by part and our guide left no question unanswered. In the next hangar we finally got to see a few finished planes that were ready to be delivered to many different airlines. Another highlight was watching the impressive Airbus Beluga plane land and take off. We definitely recommend taking the trip to the Airbus facilities if you ever get the chance.
