Election of new officers and introductory meeting for new members

On November 9th, the annual elections of officers for our SIAM chapter were held. Niklas Wagner was elected new president, Evelyn Herberg became our new treasurer and Hannes von Allwörden secretary and IT officer. After the official part, a board game night followed.

We would like to thank our former representatives for the work and time they put into our chapter, especially Anja Jeschke, Benedikt Diederichs and Tobias Jordan!

On November 15th, our chapter invited interested students to join us for an introductory meeting for potential new members.

Sören Schwenker, our representative at the SIAM Annual Meeting 2017 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, showed us some impressions from the meeting. Overall, the advantages of joining our SIAM student chapter were presented from multiple perspectives.

The evening was made perfect by tasty food and drinks and interesting conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.
